SpeechCraft

Hey, guys. I know it's been ages since I last update my blog. I've been real busy recently. I've attended a speechcraft last weekend. It was organized by my club, Money Mastery KL Toastmaster Club. First of all, let me explain briefly about Toastmaster, for those who has not heard of this club before. Toastmasters International is a nonprofit educational organization based in Rancho Santa Margarita, California. Through club activities and conferences, Toastmasters helps its members improve their communication and leadership skills while fostering self-confidence and personal growth.

So, what is speechcraft is all about? Well, my club organized a 2 day event to a company, MechMar at Glenmarie to teach their 20 managers about public speaking and communication skill. I'm just a helper to the facilitator. However, I learned a lot and really have a lot of fun.

his is my team with the participants, Mr. President and facilitator.

My mentor, Mr. Paul Tan

My respected Mr. President, Tuan Haji Hashim

Another team of Speechcrafter

I thought that I'll be there to be "free-labor", volunteering to help out while I can learned more and gained more experience. I'm very happy and touched that, actually everything that we've done was deeply appreciated by the speechcrafters and their director. I've received a small token of appreciation from the company. It is not the present that make me feel appreciated. It was when the executive director, Mr. K.L. Loh, shake my hand and uttered the word "thank you". I felt that the word came out truly from his heart.

Tada....here's my present.... Thank yo, Mechmar.

A book about leadership.... ok... I'll faster finish reading this book.... :)

My Little Comfy Zone

For those who do not know that I have shifted to a new place, I would like to update you guys about it. I've been shifted to a flat apartment nearer to my university now. Meaning....haha, no need to rush to catch the bus early in the morning. Now I can just walk to the university within 5 minutes. Even though I have shifted to this new house for a month, only recently I have completely settled unpacking. Take a look at my little comfy zone.... hehe....

My Pinky Dress

So, i think not much girls at our age will like Nichii right? At least I thought it that way... I was shopping with 2 of my other girl friend, Zoey and Phei Gie. So one of them want to shop in Nichii. The time I stepped into the shop, I feel like all the designs are more suitable for more mature women. My friend insisted that the clothings are very nice. So, just to prove my friend to be wrong, I simply chose a dress and tried it. So, each of us chose one and we had a little "fashion show" in the fitting rooms. Haha...this is what we call girls, ain't it true?

Oh gosh, to my surprise, I'm in love with the dress the moment I put it on. What should I do now? I like it much to. I don't plan to buy it...hey, what am I going to do now... I can't just tell my friend this is ugly and put it back. Okok....i give in. Checked the price tag. Eyes blinked.. It's only RM29.90? I will definitely buy it without a second thought. Haha....i guess this is what we call shopping for girls. Buying something you never thought of buying...?

I need to be more hardworking to do more workout at the gym now. I want to look nice when wearing this dress. hehe.... another reason for me not to give up in gym... haha...

Yuen's Steamboat

This time, I am not going to talk about the nice food at Yuen Steamboat. As everyone know, steamboat is ...erm....steamboat? No big differences between most steamboat. So what is the most famous and delicious food at Yuen Steamboat??? Of course it is their chicken wings!!!!!

Do you know the 'yuen's culture' ??? haha.... I think all of you who went Yuen before will understand my meaning... Ok, for those who haven't try it before, now let me share with you some story. The chicken wings will be served every 10 minutes. But it will finished within 10 seconds. So, in order to make sure you can get some of it (or most of it) you will need to "queue up" early and have a very good "SKILL".

Wanna see my first time practicing my skill???

This is consider very good... I managed to "grab" aloooot.....!!!

Wanna see the video? I feel that it is not right to "get" the food in this way...but....what choice do we have? This is the culture and we need to follow the culture, don't we? If no, then, there will be no chicken wings for you......haha... enjoy the video....

First Time at Gym

Of course this is not my first time going to the gym, but it's just the first time I went to the gym which I've joined. I went there right after I finished my class last Friday with 2 of my classmates. During the first time, I still dare not do any heavy workout. Just some easy one. Like jog on the treadmill and cycle. At first, I'm very happy to say that I've burnt about 200 calories by using that 2 equipments. However, I found out another scary fact. I took KFC for my lunch before I went to the gym. I had a Meltz value set. Since I could not find the Meltz menu on the calories website, I just assumed that Meltz is similar to Twister.

Notice that??? Only the Twister alone, it already contains 270 calories. It still not include the cheezy wedges and the drink. So imagine that... 1 workout only burnt 1 meal's calories.

Here are some photo... Can't manage to snap a lot of photos there. Just a few to post in my blog.

This is the gym

It's me...
My aim : to tone up muscle and make it firm

Lip Hwang
I hope he can achieve his aim too... Gambateh!!! Let's work hard together.

Yew Ping
He wants to look muscular...

After workout...

So far, I'm still very into gym. I'm enjoying it very much. Each day, I'm challenging myself to do more and more exercises. The exercises are getting tougher and tougher each day. This is really fun. 3 of us are working hard, doing different set of exercises but moving together towards our target. Sound fun rite? haha.... I won't give up this time.

Seoul Garden Korean BBQ Steamboat 2 ( at 1U)

Seoul Garden again...! This time was to celebrate a birthday for our friends, Erica. This time, the experience was totally different. I went to the outlet at One Utama, in Damansara. Wondering what was so different? ok...The first was the price. I thought that mostly the price will be the same when it is under franchising. At least all the McDonald's outlets price the same (except for KLIA and Genting).

This time, I have snapped a few photo of the food provided. The menu is still the same as Malacca outlet. However, the soup variety differ.

I don't know why, but the feeling was different when I dine there. The food was not as delicious as the first time I tried it. However, the services provided there deserve a .:THUMB UP:. They were polite, friendly and served us promptly when we asked for anything.
